Group Portrait: Fire-Flies

I made this composite photo using the same techniques and software that I use to make star-trail images!  I seek dense swarms of fireflies – if you know of a good place, please be in touch?firefliesStartrails

Spectacular. What interests me about this format is that, in a way, the technique provides a more “real” image than a static image would. The “firefly experience” is really more about movement than about stasis. This image, while appearing static, implies a beautiful pattern of motion. I wonder why the composite of their activity appears to be circular? Is there something to that?
